FERRUM, Va. -- The pressbox renovation project at W.B. Adams Stadium on the Ferrum College campus has begun.  Members of the Physical Plant Department have started removing the existing building so that the new two-story facility can be constructed in time for the 2013 football season.

The pressbox renovation is part of the Hank Norton Athletic Center project, set as Phase II of the overall project.  The Norton Center opened in May 2012 and houses coaches offices, locker rooms, conference room, classroom, weight room, and state-of-the-art sports medicine center.

The new pressbox at Adams Stadium will include a concession stand and President VIP suite on the lower level.  The upper level will have a working staff space, two enclosed booths for home and visiting media, and two outdoor decks for coaches and film crews.  More photos will be posted as work on the facility progresses.
