GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Marco Figueroa and George Dimopoulos scored a goal each to lift top-seeded Greensboro College to a 2-1 win in the 2014 USA South Men's Soccer Tournament quarterfinals over #8 Ferrum College.
Bubacarr Barry scored in the final minute of play to help the Panthers avoid the shutout.
The Pride outshot Ferrum 22-11 and closed with an 8-3 edge in corner kicks. The panthers (4-13-2) close out the season with the loss, while Greensboro (11-6) advances to the USA South Tournament semifinals, to be played Nov. 7 at Smith River Sports Complex.
