GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Jonny Goffredi scored with 1:37 left in the second overtime to lift Guilford College to a 3-2 non-conference men's soccer win over Ferrum College tonight at Armfield Athletic Center.
Keith Ricks notched both goals to help the Panthers erase a 2-0 deficit.
Michael Midyette assisted on the first goal, and
Kyle Simpkins on the second.
Joe Martin played 108:23 in net with two saves for the Panthers. Marko Mandalinic played the whole 108:23 in goal for the Quakers (2-5) with two stops. Guilford out-shot Ferrum 19-10 and closed with a 9-5 edge in coener kicks.
The Panthers (2-2-1) are on this road this weekend, playing a pair of USA South Athletic Conference doubleheaders with the Ferrum women. Both teams play Friday, Sept. 19, against Piedmont College in Demorest, Georgia, then Saturday, Sept. 20, at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
