FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College and Huntingdon College played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw in USA South Athletic Conference men's soccer action tonight at Penn-Roediger Field. Dylan Weir got the Hawks on the board with an unassisted goal in the 13th minute of play, and Huntingdon clung to a 1-0 lead through halftime.
Kyle Simpkins scored for the Panthers in the 65th minute of play to tie the game and send it into overtime.
Alex Brown played all 110 minutes in net for the Hawks (1-4-3, 0-0-1 USA South), while
Zach Moorman played all 110 minutes in net for Ferrum (2-5-2, 0-2-1 USA South). The Panthers are back in action Sunday, Sept. 28, at home against LaGrange College. The USA South game gets underway at 12:00 p.m. and will be followed immediately by the Ferrum-LaGrange women's game at 2:00 p.m.
