FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College and Concord University played to a double-overtime scoreless draw in non-conference men's soccer action in front of an exuberant crowd tonight at Penn-Roediger Field. Ferrum outshot Concord 15-5 in the game and closed with a 10-5 edge in corner kicks. The Panthers played with a man advantage for 65 minutes, but could not capitalize.
Joe Martin played the entire 110 minutes in net for Ferrum (0-1-1), making four saves. Henry Boyle played 110 minutes in net for the Mountain Lions (0-0-1) with three stops. Coach Andrew Pauly's team will be back in action Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Emory & Henry College. The non-conference match gets underway at 7:30 p.m. following an earlier match between the Ferrum and E&H women.
