FERRUM, Va. -- North Carolina Wesleyan College used a 12-8 run to close out the game in handing Ferrum College a 75-69 USA South Athletic Conference men's basketball loss this afternoon at Swartz Gym.
Marvin Wilson had a career-high 20 points to lead the Panthers, while
Jamal Pullen had 15 points and
Rashawn Speas added 12 points. Prior to the game, a Senior Day ceremony was held for Pullen, Ferrum's lone graduating senior.
Pullen closed out the season with 455 points, averaging 18.2 points. Pullen's 1466 career points over his four years at Ferrum place him fifth on the all-time scoring list. He was an All-Conference selection the last two seasons, and earned All-Region and All-State last year.
The Battling Bishops (13-12, 7-7 USA South) got 21 points from DJ Weaver, 17 points from Josh Lancaster and 14 points from Brandon Brown. The loss closes out the season for Ferrum (8-17, 3-11 USA South).
