FERRUM, Va. -- Danny Keo was the lone winner for Ferrum College in an 8-1 non-conference men's tennis loss this afternoon to Hampden-Sydney College at the Skeens-Borrows Tennis Courts. Keo beat Lawrence Bowers 6-3, 6-0 at #4 singles.

The Tigers (1-0) swept the three doubles matches, then picked up five of six singles matches. Keo and Chris Madonna dropped a 9-8 heartbreaker at #3 doubles to Patrick Bryant and Nathan Horvit, falling 7-2 in the tiebreaker.

Ferrum (1-2) returns to action Thursday, March 5, at Guilford College. The non-conference match will be played as a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m. in Greensboro, North Carolina.
