Panther Men Fall in Season Finale

FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference men's tennis match to Shenandoah University, falling 9-0 this afternoon at the Burrows-Skeens Tennis Courts. The match was Ferrum's final of the 2014-15 season.

The Match
Shenandoah opened with a 3-0 sweep in double as the Panthers were without the services of their top player Taylor Napier. The Hornets then took five singles matches in straight sets to go on top 8-0. Kevin Minter battled hard at #2 singles before falling 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) to Jesse Ewing. In the final match left on court, Danny Keo fell in three sets to Blake Sharp 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-4) at #3 singles.

Season Finale
Coach Rod Baker's team closed out the season with the loss. Ferrum's tennis courts are due for resurfacing this summer with a new color scheme greeting the men's and women's players when they return in the fall.
