Emory Too Much for Ferrum

ATLANTA, Ga. -- Ferrum College dropped a non-conference baseball game to Emory University this afternoon on the road, falling 6-1 at Chappell Park. The host Eagles opened a big lead, then held on to grab a win in the first of three scheduled games between the two teams this weekend.

How It Happened
The Eagles scored five runs in the first inning and one in the second to open a 6-0 lead. Ferrum scored its lone run in the third inning, with Austin Winkles' double driving in Jo Stickney. Emory starting pitcher Jackson Weeg struck out 10 batteres in seven innings.
