FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College trailed 3-2 after four and a half innings, but scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth en route to a 17-7 shellacking of #11 Frostburg State University this afternon at Panther Field. It was the first-ever game baseball between the two schools.

How It HappenedIncluded in the Panthers' five-run fifth inning was a three-run homer by
Anderson Ramos. Ferrum added four runs in the seventh inning, then
Jake Martin's three-run blast fueled a six-run eighth to put the Panthers on top 17-3. Frostburg State managed four runs in the top of the ninth for the final count.
