Clay Massie went 3-5 with two home runs to lead Ferrum College to 1 13-11 non-conference baseball win over visiting Eastern Mennonite University tonight at Panther Field.

How It HappenedMassie opened the game with a solo homer in the first inning. The Panthers tacked on a run in the third inning on a Lucas Stever RBI single, then got three more in the fourth and five in the sixth to grab a 10-4 lead. The Royals exploded for seven runs in the sixth inning and led briefly 11-10, but the Panthers responded with two runs in the bottom of the frame to back on totp 12-11 and added a run in the seventh.
Hunter Peck came on in the seventh inning, strkiing out six of the eight batters he faced in two innings of work.
