FERRUM, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced the 2018 Preseason Cross Country Polls and Washington & Lee University has been picked to win both crowns.
The Generals won both titles a year ago, with the men beating runner-up Bridgewater College and the women beating runner-up Lynchburg. In this year's men's poll, Bridgewater is picked to finish and University of Lynchburg third. In the women's poll, Lynchburg is picked to finish second, followed by Bridgewater.
Ferrum is led by Head Coach Mark White, who is in his first season at the helm of the Panther men's and women's programs. Both Ferrum competed in five events last season, including the 2017 USA South Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships, held October 28 in Demorest, Georgia.
