FOREST, Virginia -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference has announced the 2021 Football All-Conference Teams and Tmahdae Penn and Ja'Kari Williams find themselves as First Team selections at wide receiver and defensive back, respectively. Second Team selections include Tylan McElhenie as an all purpose back, Zac Saalweachter at tight end, Stephen Murphy at offensive line, Cade Rouse at offensive line, Jack Sheehan as a place kicker, Raymond Alexander as a defensive lineman, Billy Higgins as a linebacker and Drew Hill as a linebacker.
The Panthers earned a spot in the first ever Old Dominion Athletic Conference 3rd-place game this past season, falling to the Hampden-Sydney College Tigers on the road to finish fourth in the conference in Head Coach Cleive Adam's first season at the helm of the Black Hat program.
Coach of the Year honors landed with Randolph-Macon College's Pedro Arruza as they took home the trophy with a thrilling overtime victory with a walk-off touchdown over Emory and Henry College in the ODAC Championship game. The Yellow jackets also had the J. Stokely Fulton Offensive Player of the Year in the form of sophomore quarterback Presley Egbers while the Lou Wacker Defensive Player of the Year landed with Jay Swegheimer, a sophomore defensive lineman for Emory & Henry.
