THE BASICS
Following a scoreless first quarter, Horne took a pass from
Faith Bibbo and rattled the back of the cage with what would be the game's only score. It was the first goal of the season for Horne, an ODAC All-Conference third team selection in 2021.
The two teams would play scoreless the rest of the night. Ferrum out-shot the Avenging Angels 14-7, with each team taking five penalty corners. The win allowed the Panthers to sweep a home-and-away series with Meredith this season, including a 3-0 triumph September 28 in Ferrum.
