Ferrum Men Fall to Randolph on the Road

LYNCHBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) men's basketball game this afternoon at Randolph College, falling 88-64 at The Michels Athletic Center (MAC).

THE BASICS
Ferrum and Randolph both traded baskets back and forth, for the first few minutes of the game. Danny Bickey hit a three-pointer to spark an 11-5 run for the Wildcats, giving them an early 21-12 lead. Randolph then closed the half outscoring Ferrum 15-9, to hold a 53-36 lead at the half.

The Wildcats used a 10-0 run early in the second half to extend their lead to 68-40, a Taqwain Drummond 3-pointer put an end to the panthers scoring drought. 

Bickey and Jordan Phillips-McLoyd combined for 40 points, 9-18 from 3-point land to lead to the Wildcats to an ODAC victory at home.

Coach Tyler Sanborn's team will be back in action Wednesday, February 9, for an ODAC game against Washington and Lee. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m in Swartz Gymnasium.
