THE BASICS
Ferrum led 4-0 to open the game, only to see Washington and Lee use a 16-7 run to grab a 16-11 lead at 12:37 of the first half. The Generals extended the lead to 15 points with five minutes left in the first half, before taking a 47-29 lead into the break.
W&L led by 20 in the second half, but Ferrum was able to whittle away at the lead and get it down to 11 points when Jamar Butler's layup with 2:01 left made it a 77-66 game. Butler would hit a three-pointer with 16 seconds left in the game, trimming the lead to 79-69.
