HARRISONBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College's women's soccer team earned its first win of the season tonight on the road, beating Eastern Mennonite University 4-2 at EMU Turf Field.

THE BASICS
Eastern Mennonite is a fellow Old Dominion Athletic Conference member, but this game was played as a non-conference affair.
Ferrum puts lots of pressure on the Royals early on, scoring three goals in the opening 25 minutes of play.
Ashlynn Mitcham scored first on a put-back goal at 9:29, then
Jamie Adams blasted a left-footed shot from 18 yards out at the 14:43 mark.
Sydney Miller took a pass from
Allison Setlak and slotted it past EMU's goalkeeper at 24:32 to make it a 3-0 game.
Amiah Carter broke up the shutout with an unassisted goal at 30:25.
Allison Setlak then scored an insurance goal for the Panthers in the 70th minute of play when she converted a penalty kick. Olivia Daike had a goal for the Royals in the 87th minute to close out scoring.
