Tommy Jackson had three goals and an assist to lead Ferrum College to a 9-4 non-conference men's lacrosse win over Brevard College this afternoon at W.B. Adams Stadium. It was the first career win for Ferrum first-year Head Coach
Zach Louie.

THE BASICS
Ferrum jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead on goals by
Aric Lawrence,
Adam Brooks and
Jacob Carroll. Brevard responded with a pair of goals to close out the first quarter, one each by Drew Pond and Andrew McDonald, to trim the lead to 3-2 after one.
Jackson scored all three of his goals in the second quarter to put Ferrum on top 6-2 at the break. Jackson's first two goals were unassisted tallies at 11:49 and 3:59, then his third goal came off a pass from
Michael Paolicelli with 40 seconds left in the first half.
Brevard got goals from Parker Corbett and Finnegan McCormack to account for the only scoring in the third quarter to make it a 6-4 game after three.
Lawrence scored his second goal of the game early in the fourth quarter, then
Jon Straka and
Terrance Scales each found the back of the net once in the final four minutes of play to cap scoring.
