FERRUM, Virginia -- The Ferrum College softball team dropped two games to Greensboro College, 2-1 and 11-2 in non-conference action at the Vickie Van Kleeck Softball Complex this afternoon.

THE BASICS
The Panthers scored a run in the bottom of the third inning of the opener on
Skyler Swaney's RBI single down the left field line, allowing Laney-Jo Patterson to cross the plate. The Pride would score a run in the sixth inning, then got the game-winning run on Brooke Kinley's RBI double down the left field line in the seventh.

GAME TWO
Greensboro struck early in the first inning, taking an early 2-0 lead. Simmons tripled to right center and drove in two more runs in the top of the second.
Makayla Fincanon scored on
Macie Bell's RBI groundout.
Macey Moore hit a sacrifice flyball to center field to score Weaver. The Pride would tack on two more runs in the fourth and one in the fifth.
