Tigers Take Down Panthers in ODAC Play

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Virginia -- Ferrum College baseball team dropped two Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) games, 7-0 and 7-2 on the road today against Hampden-Sydney College at Yank Bernier Field.

THE BASICS

GAME ONE
Hampden-Sydney scored three runs in the first and fourth inning and one more in the seventh, on their way to a shutout victory in game one of the doubleheader.

GAME TWO
The Tigers hit two homeruns in the fifth inning to open up the game and take a 5-0 lead. Hampden-Sydney would tack on two more runs in the bottom half of the fifth inning. Shawn Baxter drove in Cannon Doub with an infield single to break the shutout in the seventh. Nick Funk drew a walk in the ninth and would come around and score from third on a wild pitch.
