THE BASICS
Nick Funk smacked a double to left center in the top of the first to drive in the first run for Ferrum. Eastern Mennonite then answered with two runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning to take a 2-1.
Ozzie Torres gave the Panthers the lead for good with a two-run homerun to left in the third. In the fifth inning Funk drove in two more runs and
Russell Golembe walked with the bases loaded.
A eight run sixth inning to put them ahead 14-2, featuring seven different Panthers picking up an RBI in the inning. Torres drove in another run in the eighth, on a triple to center field. The Royals put across one run in the final three frames of the game.

Grayson Chitwood opened up the scoring for Ferrum in the second with a single to bring home
Bryce Thacker. Funk doubled to left field, driving in a run in the third. A groundout by
Enrique Diaz and a sacrifice flyball from Thacker gave the Panthers a 4-0 lead. Alex Gulisano doubled to right center, giving Eastern Mennonite their first run of the game in the bottom of the fifth.
Thomas drove Chitwood home with a single in the sixth and
Elijah Byrd hit a solo shot to right field to lead off the seventh. Ferrum pushed three more runs across in the top of the ninth on Thomas' double and
Jaden Johnson's RBI single.
