Maroons Tag Ferrum with Two Losses in ODAC Softball

FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped both ends of an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) softball doubleheader to Roanoke College tonight at home, falling 6-4 in the opener and 4-0 in the nightcap at Vickie Van Kleeck Softball Complex.

GAME 1
Ferrum scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning off Macie Bell's RBI double. The Maroons scored three runs in the fifth, the Ferrum's Macey Moore doubled to right field in the bottom of the frame to make it a 3-3 game. Roanoke added a run in the sixth and two in the seventh to take a 6-3 lead. Wynema Thomas singled up the middle in the bottom of the seventh to drive in a run, but that's all the Panthers would get.
