FERRUM, Virginia -- Ozzie Torre's walk-off homerun lifts Ferrum College to a 5-4 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball win this evening at home over Roanoke College at Panther Field.

The Basics
Jacob Bonzon started the game with a leadoff homerun for Roanoke, to lead 1-0. Ferrum answered back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the first,
Benjamin Thomas singled up the middle to drive in Torres and
Clayton Michael blasted a three-run homerun of the left field wall to give the Panthers a 4-1 lead.
The Maroons scored one run in the third, fourth, and fifth inning to tie things up 4-4.
Bryce Thacker came on in relief and pitched two scoreless innings, facing seven batters and giving up one hit. With two outs and down to his final strike, Torres smacked a hanging slider over the left field wall to give Ferrum the 5-4 win.
