FOREST, Virginia --  The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced the 2022-23 All-Academic Team on Friday and Ferrum College had 170 student-athletes honored this year from 22 different teams. This marks the fifth straight year Ferrum has over 100 student-athletes honored, with the most in 2020-21 with 190 honorees. 
 
The 2022-23 academic year was full of conference and school records, a combined 2,514 total student-athletes in the ODAC marks the fourth-highest total in award history and the fourth straight year with over 2,500 honorees. The record of 2,681 in 2019-20 year still stands.  In 2020-21 (2,560) and 2021-22 (2,519) were recognized by the conference.

A conference-record six schools placed over 200 individuals on the list, with 11 members featuring 100 or more representatives. Washington and Lee University became the first school in ODAC history to recognize more than 500 student-athletes with a school-record 529 honorees. 

Ferrum's Football team led the way with 28 honorees, Baseball was one short for the most with 27, Softball had 19 honorees and Women's Soccer had 18 honorees. You can see the full list of honorees here.
