CARY, North Carolina -- The Ferrum College women's soccer team won for the second time in as many games with today's non-conference win over William Peace University at WakeMed Soccer Park with a score of 3-1.

THE BASICS
Ferrum scored the first goal in the opening three minutes of the game.
Jamie Adams crossed the ball to
Bri Bitz, who took a shot and put it just to right of WPU goalkeeper Mackenzie Kirk.Â
With less than five minutes remaining in the first half,
Nat Eickhoff took a corner kick from the right side, and the curve on her shot carried the ball into the goal for Ferrum's second score of the afternoon and a 2-0 lead at the break.
The third and final score for Ferrum was registered at the 61:52 minute mark, where Bitz found the back of the net again with a through ball assist from
Anna Milliron which left her one-on-one with the goalie. Â
Within the last 10 minutes of the game, William Peace's Lyndsey Knox scored unassisted to break up the shutout.Â
