Marlins Top Panthers 3-0 in Women's Soccer

FERRUM, Virginia -- Virginia Wesleyan University scored three goals in the second half to pick up an Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory, 3-0 over Ferrum College this evening at Penn-Roediger Field. Virginia Wesleyan was ranked #4 by the United Soccer Coaches Associations in the Pre-season poll and picked to the win the ODAC this year.

THE BASICS
Ferrum's defense held strong in the first half, not allowing a goal off of 10 shots by Virginia Wesleyan, three of which were saved by Ashli Wuss. 

Shyenne Diaz broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute with an unassisted goal. Five minutes later, Stephanie Koblish's corner kick found Krista Anderson who headed it into the back of the net to take a 2-0 for the Marlins. Anderson assisted Abby Volkman for Virginia Wesleyans' third goal of the night the 82nd minute.
