FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina -- Two first half goals lifted Methodist University to a 2-0 non-conference win tonight over Ferrum College at Duggins Soccer Stadium.

THE BASICS
Methodist grabbed the lead in the first half when Steven Floyd finished a cross from Steven Floyd to grab a 1-0 lead. The Monarchs tacked on a second goal in the 33rd minute, when Charles Drew flicked it into the back of the net on a Floyd pass. Ferrum was held scoreless in the second half, goalie Matthew Walker made four key saves to preserve the shutout for Methodist.
