THE BASICS
In a tight opening set, the Panthers broke a 13-13 tie with a 12-9 run. The rally started with a
Bailey Terry kill and ended with a
Kenzee Chaffin kill to go up 1-0.
EMU came back to grab the second and third sets, and seemingly had Ferrum on the ropes. The Panthers had other plans though, as did the crowd of almost 400 fans. Ferrum broke a 14-14 tie with an 11-4 run to close out the fourth set on a Terry kill and tied the match at two sets each.
The fifth and final set was as close as the entire match, with eight ties leading up to a 10-10 deadlock. Ferrum would rally to score the last five points from there, two on a Terry kill and service and one each on
Harleigh Propst and
Sami Kircher kills.
