Catron, Perkins and Wiles each has a son who played baseball at Ferrum as well: Sam Catron, Jake Perkins and Jordan Wiles. Sam and Jordan were on hand to see their dads honored today.

GAME ONE
Gus Chafin's sacrifice bunt in the bottom of the second inning drove in the first run of the day. The Panthers added a run in the fourth inning on a Davis Yeaman groundout RBI, and one in the fifth on Clayton Michael's RBI double to left-center to make it a 3-0 lead. The Tigers scored a run in the top of the sixth on Matthew Arnold's RBI single through the right side, but Ferrum answered with a run in the bottom half of the frame on Kyle Markowitz's RBI groundout to give Ferrum a 4-1 lead after six full innings.

The Panthers erupted for five runs in the seventh, including Russell Golembe's solo homer over the left field fence. Jaden Johnson had an RBI single up the middle to drive another run in, Markowitz drove in two more with an RBI single to second base, and Yeaman scored on the throw when Markowitz stole second to make it a 7-2 lead.
