LYNCHBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) softball games this afternoon on the road to #25 University of Lynchburg. The Panthers fell 3-1 in the opener and 9-1 in the nightcap at Dr. Aubrey Moon Field.

GAME ONE
Lynchburg scored a run in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI single up the middle by Carly Hudnall. Ferrum picked up a run in the top of the fifth inning on
Lexi Bennett's RBI double to left field to tie the game at 1-1. The Hornets answered with a run in the bottom of the frame on Hudnall's RBI single to left field, then scored the game-winning run in the sixth on Sarah Watts' solo homer to left field.

GAME TWO
Young's RBI single up the middle drove in the game's first run to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. Lynchburg answered with a run in the bottom of the frame on Watts' second home run in as many games, this time to center field. The Hornets then added four runs in the fourth inning and three in the fifth to close it out.
