WINCHESTER, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) baseball game on the road to Shenandoah University, falling 8-5 this afternoon at Bridgeforth Stadium.

THE BASICS
Ferrum grabbed an early lead 2-0 lead on
Bryce Thacker's RBI single through the left side in the top of the first inning, and a
Slade Keyser sacrifice fly to right field in the top of the second.
Shenandoah picked up four runs in the bottom of the second inning on RBI singles from Brody Pickette, Matt House and Jaime Padilla to make it a 4-2 SU lead.
The Hornets added three runs in the fourth inning, one on an RBI double by Frankie Ritter, one a Padilla RBI single and another on a Chandler Ballenger RBI single to extend the lead to 7-2.
Ferrum's
Mason Moffett blasted a three-run shot over the center field fence in the top of the fifth inning to trim the lead to 7-5. The Hornets picked up another run on Pickette's RBI single in the bottom of the fifth, then held on for the win.
