SALEM, Virginia -- The Ferrum College baseball team dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) game tonight 17-7, to Roanoke College at Salem Memorial Park.

THE BASICS
Slade Keyser scored on a wild pitch and
Russell Golembe scored on
Bryce Thacker's sac fly to left field, for a 2-0 lead. Roanoke responded with three runs of their own in the bottom of the first to take a 3-2 lead. A four-run fourth inning for the maroons pushed the lead to 8-2. The Panthers scored two more runs in the fourth, Kyle Markowtiz came around to score on an error as would Keyser.Â
Roanoke scored four more runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to go up 16-4. Another Maroon error brought home
Gus Chaffin in the eighth and
Clayton Michael's two-run single closed out the scoring for Ferrum.Â
