HARRISONBURG, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a pair of Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) softball games on the road to Eastern Mennonite University, falling 7-2 in the opener and 4-0 in the nightcap this afternoon at Gehman Field.

GAME ONE
In the opener, Eastern Mennonite scored two runs in the first inning and one in the second to take the early 3-0 lead. Ferrum struck for a run in the top of the fourth inning on
Riley Young's solo homer to left field. The Royals answered with a run each in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings, and two in the sixth. Ferrum picked up a run in the top of the seventh inning on
Lexi Bennett's RBI single to right field.

The Royals got all they would need in the first inning, when Destiny Jones ripped an RBI single up the middle and drove in two runs. EMU scored a run each in the fifth and sixth innings, then played defense the rest of the way to complete the league sweep.
