FERRUM, Virginia -- Ferrum College's women's volleyball team opened the 2024 season in style with a thrilling win over Mary Baldwin University, winning 3-1 in front of an electric crowd at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
The Panthers fell behind by six points in the opener, but rallied to pull out a 25-22 win. In the second set, Ferrum edged out in front and held on to grab momentum with a two sets to none lead.

Mary Baldwin went in front early and built a slight lead early on, then held on for the 25-22 win in set three. MBU once again led in the fourth set, only to see Ferrum tie the score 13-13, then surge out in front and take the match with a 12-4 run to close out the set, 25-17.
