FERRUM, Virginia - Ferrum College's soccer team emerged victorious with a commanding 2-0 win over Johnson & Wales University Charlotte this evening at W.B. Adams Stadium. The Panthers flexed their muscle out shooting the Wildcats fifteen to two.

After a stalemate first half, Ferrum College came out with renewed energy in the second half. The breakthrough came in the 74th minute when freshman Amber Nichole Gillen netted her first collegiate goal, finishing off a beautifully executed cross from junior
Jadyn Patton. Just seven minutes later senior
Ashlynn Mitcham found the back of the net on a well placed pass from senior
Bri Bitz.
Johnson & Wales goalkeeper Zoe Balmer played an outstanding game in the net stopping thirteen Ferrum shots.
