THE BASICS
Bitz scored just over ten minutes into the game on a cross by Herlihy. The teams played evenly for much of the first half until Ferrum broke through with three goals in the final seven minutes before halftime. Herlihy continued her impressive play making, delivering another precise cross to
Katie Light, who scored her first goal of the match. In the closing five minutes of the half,
Jadyn Patton and Light each added goals to secure a dominant 4-0 lead for Ferrum.
The second half saw Bitz record her second goal to cap off the scoring for the Panthers. Virginia State managed to pull one back when sophomore Gabrielle Franklin scored the Trojans' lone goal. Ferrum junior
