SALEM, Virginia -- Ferrum College dropped a pair of non-conference matches this afternoon in second day of action at the Maroon Classic at Roanoke College. The Panthers fell to Greensboro College 25-16, 25-14, 24-26, 26-24 in the first match, then lost to host Roanoke by a score of 25-18, 25-17, 25-14 at the Cregger Center.

The Panthers showed resilience but ultimately came up short, dropping the opening two sets but bouncing back to win the third set 26-24 then dropping the fourth set by the same score. Ferrum was led byÂ

Harleigh Propst with twelve assists.
FERRUM-ROANOKE
Ferrum dropped their fourth match of the Maroon Classic losing 3-0. , only to see the Spirits come back to take the next two sets and force a winner-take-all fifth set. The score was tied at 2-2 in the fifth and deciding set when Salem went on a 12-2 run then hung on for the win.Â
Kenzee Chaffin had eleven assists and ten digs,Â
Jaycee Chaffin added eight kills,Â
Savanna Walker had twelve digs.
ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
At the end of the two day-event, an All-Tournament Team was announced and Ferrum's
Savanna Walker was chosen. The complete team included: Jeanna Fowler (Methodist), Rachel Hall (Hollins), Morgan Mayfield (Greensboro), Kayla Simmons (NC Wesleyan), Anna Rymer (Salem),
