FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College women's soccer team lost a close one to UNC Pembroke on Friday afternoon at Penn-Roediger Field. The Braves scored late in second half to win 2-0.

THE BASICS
The first half remained scoreless as both teams battled for control. Ferrum managed just four shots, including three on goal, while UNC Pembroke registered nine shots with three on target.
In the second half, UNC Pembroke broke the deadlock in the 74th minute with a goal from Eugenie Amidou, assisted by Jasmin Diop. Amidou later converted a penalty kick at 85:39 to secure the 2-0 victory for the Braves.

Ashli Wuss, played a stellar game in the net recording 15 saves on the night. Â UNC Pembroke outshot Ferrum 25-9 overall and held an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks.
