FERRUM, Va. -- Ferrum College's men's basketball team beat Virginia University of Lynchburg in non-conference action tonight at home, winning 107-64 at Swartz Gym.

THE BASICS
VUL led 14-8 early on, but Ferrum took the lead for good on
MJ Winstead's layup at 7:16 of the first half. Ferrum slowly built the lead, with a
Gerren Jones layup in the final seconds of the half giving the Panthers a 17-point lead at the break, 55-38.Â
Ferrum scored the first nine points of the second half with Winstead's jumper at 16:48, making it a 64-38 lead, and the rout was on. The Panthers' largest lead was 47 points, 107-60, when
Avery Woodard converted a fast break layup with 2:10 left to play.Â
