FERRUM, Virginia - Ferrum College dropped an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game to Guilford this afternoon. The Quakers scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning to hand the Panthers the 8-5 loss.

THE BASICS
Ferrum got on the board first in the bottom of the first inning when
Carlos Castillo singled to left, stole second and
Seth Shannon doubled him home. One batter later
Shawn Baxter singled up the middle scoring Shannon. The Quakers took the lead in the top of the sixth inning, scoring three to go up 5-3.
Needing to hold the Quakers at bay in the top of the ninth, Ferrum gave up three runs. Ferrum battled back to score two runs in the bottom of the ninth but unfortunately their rally fell short.

Coach Eric Owen's team is back in action on Saturday, March 29th when they host Virginia Wesleyan for a double header. Game times are set for 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
