HARRISONBURG, Virginia – Ferrum College's baseball team split their series with Eastern Mennonite University this afternoon. In game one of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup, the Panthers won 10-6. The second game saw the Panthers seven game win streak end with a 15-5 loss to the Royals. Ferrum Junior
Gregory Melo went 5-9 on the day.

GAME ONE
The Royals got on the scoreboard first leading 2-0 after one.
Shawn Baxter drove the ball deep and over the fence to put the Panthers on the board in the top of the second.
Jorge Olivo doubled to left field scoring two more runs to put Ferrum ahead 3-2. Eastern Mennonite was able to score in the next two innings to take a 6-3 lead. In the top of the 6
th inning with two outs and the bases loaded, Ferrum exploded for seven runs to put the game out of reach. The inning was highlighted by back to back to back doubles by
Kyle Markowitz,
Mason Moffett, and
Seth Shannon.
Carter Liverman picked up his first win of the season.
GAME TWO
Eastern Mennonite bounced back in the second game to even the series. The Royals won 15-5. The Panthers were hampered by six errors. Greg Melo was 3-4 and
JJ Tyree was 2-4 with 2 RBI.

Coach Eric Owen's team will be back in action on Tuesday, March 11 against Hampden Sydney. The game is set for a 3:30 PM start.
