YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. -- Ferrum College dropped the first two games in a three-game Conference Carolinas baseball series with #17 Young Harris College this afternoon on the road. The Panthers fell 21-2 in the opener and 12-3 in the nightcap at Zell B. Miller Field.

GAME ONE
Young Harris scored nine runs, including a three-run homer and a two-run homer, in the first inning to take control early. The Mountains Lions led 20-0 after six full innings, then
Gray Thacker's RBI single to right-center pushed two runs across the plate for Ferrum to break up the shutout.

GAME TWO
Young Harris jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings and never trailed. Ferrum scratched out a run in the fourth inning two in the fifth on RBI singles by
Garrett Pancione and
Tyler Mason and to trim the lead to 7-3, but the Mountain Lions picked up fine runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and the game ended after the seventh inning.
