THE BASICS
Mitchell struck first in the second inning, capitalizing on a pair of Ferrum errors and timely hitting to score four runs and take an early lead. The Panthers answered in the bottom half of the inning when Jachob Walters launched a two-run home run to left field, bringing home Niko Papathanasiou and cutting the deficit in half.
