FLORENCE, S.C. -- The Ferrum College women's tennis team fell to Francis Marion University, 7-0, in a Conference Carolinas road match this afternoon at Kassab Courts.

THE BASICS
Francis Marion opened the match by securing the doubles point, earning victories at No. 1 and No. 2 while also collecting a forfeit win at No. 3 to take early control.
In singles play, the Patriots completed the sweep, winning all six flights. Ferrum's strongest showing came at No. 2, where
Stephanie Porras pushed F. Hernandez Huerta to a third-set super tiebreak before falling 4-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-4).
Francis Marion also earned straight-set victories at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 5, while taking a forfeit win at No. 6 to complete the 7-0 team result.
