FERRUM, Va. - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have announced the 2026 Men's Basketball Academic All-America Team and Ferrum College standout
Gerren Jones has been included as a second team selection.
Jones is the 12th overall Academic All-American at Ferrum and the second men's basketball player to be named to the team. He joins Kauan Madden-McAfee who was honored in 2021.

Jones was recently named to the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District Team. He was also named to the Division II All-Southeast Region Team after averaging 22.2 points per game and leading Ferrum to a 16-11 overall record, including a 14-6 mark in Conference Carolinas. He helped Coach
Patrick Corrigan's team to a third place finish in their first season in Division II. Jones was also named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference first team and was named the leagues Offensive Player of the week for the week of February 3rd.
Jones, a native of Swansboro, North Carolina, is a senior majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing. He has achieved a 4.0 GPA.
