FERRUM, Va. -- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) has announced the 2025-26 Baseball Academic All-District Team, and Ferrum College's
Garrett Pancione has been honored. CSC Academic All-District honors recognize student-athletes for their outstanding achievements both on the field and in the classroom.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore (academic and athletic), hold a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA), and be a starter or key reserve. Athletes must also meet specific competition minimums and be nominated by a current CSC member.
A senior catcher from Warrenton, Virginia, Pancione earned Academic All-District honors following an impressive 2025-26 season, both academically and athletically. He closed out the school year with a perfect 4.0 GPA, and was on the Ferrum College President's List both semesters. Pancione graduated in May 2026 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management.
On the diamond, Pancione made 38 starts in 42 games, with 126 at-bats, 23 runs and 43 base hits. His .341 batting average was second on the team this season, as was his .540 slugging percentage. Pancione had 10 doubles, five home runs and led the Panthers with 30 RBI. He closed the season with a .431 on-base percentage and .977 fielding percentage, and went 1-1 in stolen base attempts. Behind the plate, Pancione was 22-43 (51%) on runners thrown out.
Pancione enrolled at Ferrum in the fall of 2025 after transferring from George Mason University. He was a 2022 graduate of Highland School. Pancione is currently starting a career in real estate.Â
