FERRUM, Va. -- Three Ferrum College fall sports teams will have start time changes for road games on Saturday, September 12. Incoming storms in the Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Durham, North Carolina, areas have prompted officials to move the start times up in an effort to avoid the storms or allow additional time for potential weather delays.

The women's soccer and men's soccer Conference Carolinas games at Converse University in Spartanburg will be moved up from their originally scheduled start times of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively. Ferrum's women will now play Converse at 12:30 p.m., with the men following at 3:00 p.m. Both matches will be played at Weisiger Stadium.

The Panther football team was scheduled to play a non-conference game against Shaw University at 2:00 p.m. That game will now kick off at 11:00 a.m. at Durham County Memorial Stadium.

Spartanburg and Durham are both expected to have rain and scattered thunderstorms throughout the day Saturday.
