FERRUM, Va . -- The Ferrum College volleyball team wrapped up a Conference Carolinas road swing this weekend, falling to North Greenville University 3-0 Friday night before dropping a 3-1 decision at Southern Wesleyan University on Saturday.

FERRUM vs. NGU
North Greenville took control early Friday night at Hayes Gymnasium, defeating Ferrum 25-15, 25-16, 25-14. The Crusaders hit .369 as a team in the match.
Lily Ritzema led Ferrum with nine kills, while
Selah Dellinger added five kills.
Harleigh Propst finished with four kills, 11 assists, seven digs and a service ace.
FERRUM vs. SWU
Ferrum opened Saturday's match at Tysinger Gymnasium with a strong start, playing well early in grabbing the first set 25-17. Southern Wesleyan answered with a 25-18 second-set win, then edged the Panthers 25-22 in the third set before closing out the match in with a 25-15 fourth-set victory.
Ritzema again led Ferrum offensively, recording 10 kills,
Catherine Bennett added nine kills and 11 points, while
Makayla Rumley and Dellinger each finished with seven kills. Dellinger also contributed 17 digs, while
Harleigh Propst and
Skye Carter each posted 15 assists.
