FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College women's volleyball team battled back from a 2-2 tie to defeat Barton College 3-2 Wednesday evening in Conference Carolinas action at Swartz Gymnasium. Set scores were 25-19, 25-23, 23-25, 21-25, 15-13.

THE BASICS
Ferrum took control early, winning the first two sets 25-19 and 25-23 to take a 2-0 lead. Barton answered by taking the third and fourth sets, 25-23 and 25-21, to force a decisive fifth set.
The Panthers held off Barton in the fifth set, 15-13, to secure the five-set victory.
Ferrum recorded 49 kills on 195 attacks and finished with a .097 hitting percentage. The Panthers also collected 49 assists, 10 service aces and 17 total blocks.
