FERRUM, Va. -- The Ferrum College volleyball team earned a 3-0 Conference Carolinas victory over Young Harris College Saturday morning at Swartz Gymnasium. The Panthers won 25-18, 25-23 and 25-16 to improve to 5-7 overall and 2-6 in Conference Carolinas play.

THE BASICS
The Panthers opened the match with a 25-18 first-set victory before Young Harris battled Ferrum in the second set. Ferrum held on for a 25-23 win to take a 2-0 lead. The Panthers closed out the sweep with a 25-16 third-set victory.
KEY FC STATS
Lily Ritzema led the Panthers with 13 kills, four service aces and 17.5 points. Makayla Rumley added seven kills and two blocks, while Selah Dellinger recorded five kills, two service aces and eight digs.
Jaylyn Holt contributed five kills, while Danielle Worthy added two kills, three service aces and three blocks. Harleigh Propst directed the Ferrum offense with 11 assists and added three kills, two service aces and seven digs.
Daniela Castillo led the Panthers with 11 digs, while Selah Dellinger added eight digs. Ferrum finished the match with 38 kills, 12 service aces and six total blocks.
UP NEXT
Coach Morgan Milligan's team will return to action Tuesday, September 29, at the University of Mount Olive. The Conference Carolinas match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. first serve in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
